Chris has extensive experience with office photography and corporate photography in Scotland in the UK, with a wide range of clients from small architectural practices to large commercial corporations.
As an architectural photographer, Chris tailors each office photography project to the individual brief. More often than not however, repeat clients trust Chris to simply 'get on with it', and as an architect himself, Chris knows how to capture a full set of photographs which show off each office space to its absolute best.
With an efficient and unobtrusive working method, Chris is able to photograph in live office environments with minimal disruption to staff. This also has the advantage of allowing photographs to be captured showing the office in use which can make for a more dynamic image.

What's involved?
Office photography is so much more than capturing the main office spaces with desks and computers. It's about capturing the people, the atmosphere and the style.
Chris will work with you to develop a brief and truly understand your requirements. This may be a straight forward shoot looking at the main office spaces, but it may also involve set ups showing staff working, or a busy reception area with people blurred in motion.

Dusk office photography
Offices work very well with dusk architectural photography as they are generally well lit both inside and out.
A dusk photograph not only looks very stylish and can produce a great hero shot, but it also allows the viewer to see into an office space from the outside creating depth and interest.
These shots are best captured just as the sun has set but before twilight fades completely.
The Roslin Institute near Edinburgh looks fantastic at dusk with the external cladding colours balancing beautifully against the warm interior lighting.
CAT A or CAT B?
As an architect himself, Chris understands that new office projects need to be photographed at various stages, perhaps as part of a BCO Awards submission. This Cat A fitout shoot for this St Andrew Square refurbishment project in Edinburgh had a very different requirement to the various Cat B fitout shoots Chris also did at a later date in the same building. Whatever the brief, Chris will be able to capture the right images for the right purpose.
